Bouldering, Bluegrass, & Beer!

Posted on: October 18th, 2012 by Western Region

The Eastside event of the year!

Bouldering, Stewardship, Bluegrass, n’ Beer!

Join the American Alpine Club for the Western Region’s Fall Highball Craggin’ Classic to be held in Bishop, CA on November 9-10, 2012.

This will be a very special Eastside event kicking off on the evening of Friday, November 9th with the REEL Rock Film Tour at Mill Creek Station.  On the morning of Saturday, November 10th join us for a free local breakfast from Great Basin Bakery provided by Wilson’s Eastside Sports and coffee provided by Black Sheep Coffee Roasters followed by a Buttermilk Stewardship project hosted by Friends of the Inyo, the USFS, and the Access Fund.

Pro-climber Matt Wilder will be present and bouldering around with folks before we reconvene at Mill Creek Station for an evening reception hosted by New Belgium Brewing Co. and a silent auction benefiting the Western Region’s Live Your Dream Grant.  Matt Wilder will give us a rad slideshow and we’ll cap it off with a bluegrass performance by our musical guest, The Trespassers!  Don’t miss the Eastside’s climbing event of the year!
