Joshua Tree Campout October 22 – 23, 2011
The section enjoyed a successful campout at Sheep’s Pass. We climbed some both days, shared two beautiful days, and pot-luck dinner Saturday night. And Sunday a few of us participated in a restoration project at Indian Cove put on by the Park Service and the Friends of Joshua Tree.
The Park Service prepared a highly successful project providing the tools, plants, and equipment in a highly organized manner allowing the volunteers and rangers to plant 50 – 60 native plants in two hours. It was great fro the AAC to be a part of this effort. And we hope to do a repeat, on a smaller scale, in March
