Jim Donini in Leavenworth – May 28th, 2011
This slideshow will be a retrospective of Jim’s expeditions to Patagonia from the first ascent of Cerro Torre in 1976, new routes on Poincenot and Cerro Pollone in the nineties, to his recent explorations in the undiscovered granite cliffs, turquoise rivers and temperate rainforests fringing the Northern Patagonian Icefields. These images will leave you chafing at the bit, ready to go explore this pristine area of our planet.
And depending on the weather we’ll head out climbing on Sunday. This will be a great opportunity to absorb some wisdom from one of this country’s more legendary alpinists!
The event will be held at Leavenworth Mountain Sports, and free camping will be provided for slideshow attendees.
Cost: $10 general public / $5 AAC members (bring your membership card!)
