Now That’s Adventure!
AAC Mountain Fellowship winners Joe Forrester and Jeremy Roop, both 25, have just returned from an excellent adventure in the small African nation of Malawi, where they completed the first free ascent of one route and established a second on the 5,000-foot-plus granite slabs of Chambe Peak. Scoripions, snakes, bloodthirsty vegetation—this trip had it all! You can read Forrester’s informative and entertaining trip report at the AAC website, where you can also find information and applications for Mountain Fellowships (twice-annual grants for climbers 25 and under) and all of the AAC’s other grant programs.
